Aug. 16 meeting------Aug. 18 Run & Roast Beef Dinner

Aug. 16 regular monthly meeting 7 PM at Post.  . Save the date Sept 9  that will be our 3rd Annual Fall Motorcycle Run.

The AMVETS POST 2000 Fort Plain will host its First Annual  Veterans Benefit Day on Saturday, August 18.  The day’s events start off with a free motorcycle run leaving the Post at 11:00 AM.  The run will stop at various veteran’s post . Fun events for entire family will get under way at 2 PM.  This includes games for children, horseshoes, bake sale, gas card raffle, 50/50 raffles  and a Chinese auction.  The main event will be the Roast Beef Dinner at 5 PM.  Tickets for the dinner will be $10 and only $8 if you bring a dish to pass.

The proceeds from the event will benefit the Albany Housing Coalition Inc.,  a transitional residence for male homeless veterans and the Guardian House, Saratoga Springs a female homeless  residence.

June 3rd Run

Many thanks go out to everyone who participated last Sunday in our Third Annual Run.  Every year the weather does not want to cooperate and I am sure the  black clouds scared a few rider away.  I rode only part of the ride myself, but I never did get wet.  Thanks go out to the restaurants and merchants for their many donations.  American Legion Post 701, Sawmill Tavern, Hillview  Tavern, Jim's Irish Harbor, Allan's Auto Bod, Rock City Iron, 5's Diner, Village Diner, Nice& Easy,Lombardo Pizza, Little Falls Carpet, Masi's Body Shop, Dome Liquor,Flint's Liquor, Fucellios Auto,Norm's, Parts Plus, Curtis Lumber, Adirondack Harley Davidson and Spitzies Harley Davidson.

May Meeting 17th at 7:00 PM

Next meeting Thursday, May 17th.  We need to get everything organize for our 3rd Annual Motorcycle Run June 3rd.  The Run will start at the SawMill, Schenectady then proceed to American Legion, Amsterdam, Hillview Esperance, Jim's Irish Harbor, Canajoharie and finally to the Post, Fort Plain for BBQ.

Riders sponsoring Benefit for member "Rudy" "Fluffy"-Rodney Schrell.  The benefit will be held June 9 at 12 noon. Donation $10.  Rudy is a cancer patient that needs some extra help during this time.
