Hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year. The next meeting will take place March 15, 2012. Save the date June 3rd because that will be our 3rd Annual Spring Run.

Christmas Party

The annual Christmas Party will be held Saturday, Dec.17 at 5 PM. A cocktail hour and tree lighting service will take place first, followed by a buffet. Bring dish to pass, grab bag under $15 and non-perishable item.

Fall Run 9/11

The 2nd Annual Fall Run was a very successful event. The weather was perfect and the turn out of riders doubled from last year. This photo of vets only was taken at the Sangerfield American Legion Post 92. It was one of several stops we made along the way.

Plans are being made for the Second Annual Fall Run to take place on Sunday Sept. 11, 2011. This will be a great way to show your patriotism on the Tenth Anniversary of 9/11 and support veterans.

Several members will be delivering Easter dinners for the Foothills UMC, Gloversville, NY. This is a greatly appreciated community service event.

The Spring Run will be held June 5, 2011 starting at the Saw Mill, Schenectady, NY. Check- out flyer on of top page.

Our deepest sympathy to Frank S. who recently loss his father. We all have wonderful memories of when we stayed at his home in Florida.

Winter time blues

I thought I'd update the blog in case anyone out there checks it. I have had a rough winter, been to hell and back with health problems.

OK.... Riders its almost February so lets get those bike in where its nice and warm and start polishing that chrome! Winter won't last forever and we need to be ready for that first March ride. yee ha!

Open House

Amvets Post 2000 will be host an Open House on Veteran's Day from 12 noon - 6 PM. Free chili, hot dogs, hamburger and more will be offered to all area vets.

The AMVETS RIDERS POST 2000 would like to thank everyone who donated or participated in our First Annual Motorcycle Run. All of our members want to thank the merchants and restaurants for their generous donations, which made this event such a great success.

We would like to thank the following for their donations: Adirondack Harley-Davidson, 5-S Diner, Dome Liquor, Thunder Customs, Flint Liquor, Spitzie's Harley-Davidson, American Legion Post 701, Jim's Irish Harbor, and Forrester Club.

A thank you goes out to all the members for making food and donating door prizes. Lastly, a big heartfelt thanks goes to the motorcycle riders who choose to support our event in spite of the threat of rain. God bless you.
